If your little one dreams of being an astronaut, or just wants to go and explore the stars and make friends with aliens, why not make their day and decorate their bedroom to match their ideas?

There are all sorts of accessories with which you can really bring some character to a room. Firstly, try some space themed kids bedding: dark blue, covered with stars so they can pretend it’s a black hole; or a set with aliens and monsters on.

There are thousands of different stick-on glow-in-the-dark stars and planets you can get for the walls and the ceiling. Your astronomer can make up his or her own constellations, and even reorganise some of them so that they reflect the night sky outside.

You can get huge themed wall stickers in the shape of rockets and planets and aliens, so that their whole room feels like it’s out of this world. There are even coat hangers, pegs, bookends and light switch covers that can match the theme, with rockets and stars and spaceships.

And finally, to top it off, have a rocket shaped name plate on the outside of the door, and maybe even a sign that says “no gravity zone: do not enter without space suit.”
