How to decorate your child’s bedroom without spending a fortune

Posted on May 7, 2010 by Sharon There have been 0 comments

Decorating rooms can be very expensive, especially when there often seems to be an extra 20% on the price just because it is “child-safe”. There are plenty of ways to make your child’s room really exciting without having to break the bank.

Wall decoration
Using wall stickers (which are very inexpensive and come in a huge variety of sizes and styles), you can create any theme or design for a bedroom, from farmyard animals to aliens, kittens to pirates.

You can get stickers from their favourite TV show, and have them dotted around the room, or all focused on one wall.

Most wall stickers are re-stickable, so you can take them down when your child wants a re-style, and then maybe use them again for your next little one as they get older.

Accessories
Having styled mirrors, height charts, doorknobs and lampshades will make a huge difference to the overall look of your child’s room, without having to splash out one of the many specially shaped children’s beds.

You can use cushions and rugs as toys, as well as even help them to make posters for the walls using hand and foot painting. They can be proud of the work they’ve done as well as be pleased at their colourful stylish bedroom.
