Don’t forget the little extras that really make your child’s bedroom special

Having pirate themed kids bedding and a treasure chest for their toys will make your stowaway’s room fit for any pirate. But there are other ways to make it even more ready for the high seas.

You could buy a Pirates Calendar, with two wooden pirate figurines and dice which can be changed around month after month, year after year.

How about the Jolly Roger reward chart? This comes with 100 skull and crossbones reward stickers, which will help your little Quartermaster learn the ways of landlubbers.

There are also things like memo boards, that can help either with daily tasks, with birthday lists or with any other post-it style notes. These come in different styles and themes, some with roses and stripes, other with checks or plain.

If your little tinker is starting to lose his or her teeth, how about getting a tooth fairy hook and bag for their room? That way, the Tooth Fairy will always know where the tooth is, and can easily check just in case your little one forgot to mention it to mummy or daddy.

It attaches to the wall and has a little rhyme and picture on, as well as a small cloth bag in which to place the tooth. The bag is large enough for a coin or similar sized treat.
