Children's Bedding in the 21 Century

Posted on October 20, 2011 by admin There have been 0 comments

In the past children's bedding was nothing special.  You couldn't get fancy colours or patterns and bedding with characters from their favourite shows. Children would usually have white sheets and plain coloured blankets with a plain bedspread over or a hand knitted or crocheted blanket.  But all this has changed now, and you can buy great bedding that your child will love and it doesn't need to be really expensive either.

Sailing BeddingIf your child likes to have the latest trend then you can buy bedding to match the character they like.  From TV shows to pop stars you can get bedding to match all of them.  However, if you want bedding to last more than a couple of years it is probably better to buy something a bit more neutral, otherwise your child will grow out of their latest trend and you will have to be buying new bedding before the old bedding is hardly used.

You can get lots of bedding aimed at children that will match any bedroom theme.  Whether it be a nautical theme for your little boy or a pink princess theme for your little girl, you can get bedding to match.  You can get plainer bedding that fades into the background so that you look at the room, or you can make the bedding a feature of the room.

It is lovely to get bedding that fits in with the theme and usually you can get curtains and other room accessories to match.  You can have matching lights, lamp shades, cushions, bunting and rugs, so the whole room can match with your lovely theme.

Flutterby BeddingWhen you talk about children's bedding most people think about duvet covers with a matching pillow case, but you can get beautiful bedspreads that will suit a boys or girls room as well as nice sheets for underneath the bed, and blankets which blend in as well.
